Or, you may visit the PA Lottery website to see the results of Powerball drawings. Notably, you are required to be at least 18 years of age and physically located in Pennsylvania to play lottery games online and win prizes.
Powerball drawings occur each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. The deadline to buy your ticket(s) is 9:59 p.m. ET on the night of the drawings.
Playing the Powerball is easy. Begin by either buying your ticket(s) at the PA Lottery website or head to a local lottery retailer (e.g., grocery store, convenience store, gas station).
Then, you can select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one number from 1 to 26, which will be your Powerball selection. You always have the option to allow the terminal to randomly pick your numbers for you using the Quick Pick tool as well.
Standard Powerball tickets cost $2 a piece — but if you choose the Power Play add-on feature — it will cost an additional $1 per ticket.
The Power Play feature grants you the chance to multiply any non-jackpot prize. Just select to play the add-on feature. A number will then be drawn just before the regular numbers drawing. This is the Power Play number.
If you win a non-jackpot prize, it will be multiplied by the Power Play number that was drawn. See below:
The process of claiming a PA Lottery prize isn’t very difficult. Actually, your prize will be automatically paid to your Lottery account and you can request a withdrawal using a variety of methods in many instances.
However, any prize that is worth $600 or more, requires a claim form to be completed and submitted.
Furthermore, prizes of $2,500 and above can only be paid by the Lottery itself. You may choose to mail a completed claim form along with your signed ticket to the address on the form. Or, you can claim your ticket in person at a local Lottery Area Office.
Remember, the next Powerball drawing scheduled for Monday, Aug. 21 will feature a jackpot of $291 million. You need to get your ticket(s) before the 9:59 p.m. ET deadline if you want a chance at winning tonight’s jackpot.
