Powerball jackpot reset at $20 million, drawing on Sat. July 22
It didn’t take long for someone to win the Powerball jackpot after it surpassed $1 billion. The jackpot reset, and is currently at $20 million.
The winning numbers on Wednesday, July 19 that claimed the jackpot of over $1 billion were white balls 7, 10, 11, 13, and 24 with 24 appearing in the red Powerball slot.
While you won’t have the opportunity to win the $1 billion jackpot, the current $20 million prize is nothing to scoff at. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, July 22 at 10:59 p.m. ET. You must purchase your ticket(s) before the deadline one hour prior to the drawing.

You can buy one or more Powerball tickets in every U.S. state besides Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah. Tickets can either be purchased online or in-person at gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores.
Simply walk into one of those local establishments and ask the cashier to either pick your own numbers or ask for a ‘Quick Pick”, where a computer will select numbers for you. You may also choose to play the “Power Play” for an extra dollar, which will multiply all non-grand prize winnings by a factor of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10.
The Powerball has a “Double Play” option as well. Choosing the “Double Play” option costs an additional $1, and it gives you a second chance to match Powerball numbers in a separate drawing for a cash prize of up to $10 million.
For starters, you can see which numbers were drawn on your local TV news station (see above) or live on the Powerball website and YouTube channel. If you’re unable to watch the drawing live, the numbers will be listed on the Powerball website as well.
If you’re lucky enough to win a cash prize from playing the Powerball, begin the claim process by signing the back of your winning ticket (physical ticket) with your name, address, and phone number. If you won via an online ticket, most prizes will be automatically paid to your PA Lottery account.
Prizes between $600 and $2,500 must be claimed by filling out a Claim Form. Prizes of $2,500 and above can only be paid by the Lottery itself. Either mail your Claim Form or deliver it in person at a local Lottery Area Office.
