Mega Millions jackpot over $100 million, drawing on 9/5/23
With a jackpot of $101 million, the next Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 5 is going to turn heads.
It has been about a month since the Mega Millions jackpot reset to $20 million. Since then, several drawings have ensued without a jackpot winner. This past Friday’s drawing saw numbers 10, 31, 42, 43, and 55 get selected, along with 8 as the Mega Ball.
Mega Millions drawings happen each and every week on Tuesday and Friday nights at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET. Feel free to watch the results on your local Pennsylvania TV news station. See below:

Notably, you must purchase your Mega Millions ticket(s) ahead of the 9:59 p.m. ET deadline on the night of drawings. In addition to that, you are required to be at least 18 years of age and physically located in PA to play lottery games online and win subsequent prizes.
You can purchase your Mega Millions ticket(s) at a local PA Lottery retailer (e.g., grocery store, convenient store, gas station) or on the PA Lottery website or mobile app. We highly recommend downloading the mobile app on your iOS or Android device.
Once you know where you are going to buy your ticket(s), you must select five numbers from 1 to 70 and one number from 1 to 25, which will be your Mega Ball selection. Alternatively, you may let the terminal randomly choose your numbers for you using the Quick Pick tool.
Every time you play Mega Millions, you have the option to participate in the Megaplier add-on feature for an additional $1 per ticket. In doing so, you are giving yourself the chance to multiply any prize that you may win except for the jackpot.
A separate number from 2 to 5 will be chosen immediately before the regular numbers drawing—and this is the Megaplier number. If you play the Megaplier, and win a non-jackpot prize, it will be multiplied by the number that was drawn.
