PointsBet appoints Hilton to lead casino in Canada
Hilton joins PointsBet Canada from Ingenuity Gaming, where she had a short spell as its director of business development.
Prior to this, Hilton worked for Bally’s Interactive as director of igaming product for North America. She was also senior product manager of online casino at Bally’s.
Earlier in her career, Hilton spent seven years with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, one of Canada’s regional lottery bodies. This included spells as slot and tables product manager for online casino and product specialist for online casino.
Hilton’s other roles included positions at BuildDirect and Cowie and Fox.

“I have dedicated myself to the Canadian igaming industry for the past 10-plus years. I’m absolutely thrilled to align my passion with a company as influential as PointsBet Canada.”
PointsBet Canada currently only operates in Ontario. The operator secured approval in the province in March last year ahead of its regulated market launching a few weeks later.
PointsBet is active via the PointsBet.ca website. Its licence is due to run through to 3 April 2024.
Fanatics moves forward with PointsBet US acquisition
Across the border, Fanatics Betting and Gaming (FBG) is edging closer to taking full control of PointsBet US.
The FBG arm of Fanatics struck a deal to acquire the US operations of PointsBet earlier this year. The purchase price of $225.0m (£186.3m/€214.9m) was agreed in June and PointsBet shareholders approved the deal shortly after.
This month, FBG completed the acquisition of its operations in New York and Wyoming. This came after FBG last month last month also secured approval for acquiring PointsBet US in eight other states. These comprise New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
