Fanatics Debuts Its Online Casino In West Virginia
Fanatics Betting and Gaming launched its Fanatics Sportsbook product in West Virginia with the platform including an embedded online casino, the company announced Thursday.
This marks the first batch of customers to gain access to Fanatics’ online casino product. The iCasino platform isn’t a standalone app, as users access both the sports betting platform and mobile casino through Fanatics Sportsbook.
The online casino product includes slots, roulette, and blackjack among its games, with the new Fanatics Blackjack game exclusively available on the site. The company shared via press release that additional games and features will be released in the near future.
Fanatics’ growing reach
Existing PointsBet sports betting customers in West Virginia will be transitioned over to the Fanatics Sportsbook, as a result of a recent acquisition deal. The Fanatics Sportsbook is now live in the following six states:
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- Ohio
- Tennessee
- Kentucky
- West Virginia
West Virginia customers, however, are the only Fanatics Sportsbook customers currently with access to the online casino product.
Online casino games are not yet legal in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Tennessee, or Kentucky. Currently, Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia are the states to have legalized online casino games.
Fanatics has not announced future iCasino expansion plans, although PointsBet is active in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
