You must be at least 18 years of age and physically located in the state of Pennsylvania to play lottery games online and win coinciding prizes.
To play Mega Millions, begin by either visiting the PA Lottery website or a local lottery retailer (i.e., grocery store, gas station, convenient store). Standard tickets cost $2 a piece.
Then, either have the terminal randomly select your numbers for you using the Quick Pick tool or choose your own numbers. This requires you to choose five numbers from 1 to 70 and one
number from 1 to 25, which will serve as your Mega Ball selection.
Now, you always have the option to play the Megaplier add-on feature for an additional $1 per ticket. In doing so, you will give yourself the opportunity to multiply any non-jackpot prize that you could potentially win.
A separate number from 2 to 5 will be drawn just prior to the standard numbers drawing—this will be the Megaplier number. Any non-jackpot prize will be multiplied by the Megaplier number that was drawn.
Importantly, you must purchase your Mega Millions ticket(s) before the 9:59 p.m. ET deadline on the night of drawings.
Winning the Mega Millions jackpot is an unlikely occurrence, as you probably expected. However, there are several other prize possibilities that have far more favorable odds of happening. Check out your chances of winning below:
