Lottery: Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots reach $205M, $725M
With no grand prize winner from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, the jackpot now is worth an estimated $725 million with a cash value of $345.7 million.
There also was no grand prize winner in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, so that jackpot rolled over to $205 million with a cash value of $98.1 million.
The Powerball jackpot is inching closer to the July 19 drawing number when a ticket in California won a prize worth $1.08 billion, the third-largest Powerball jackpot ever won, according to lottery officials. Since then, there have been 24 consecutive Powerball drawings without a jackpot winner.

Powerball winning numbers: 9/20/23
The winning numbers from Wednesday's drawing were 16, 27, 59, 62, 63 and the Powerball was 23. The Power Play was 3X.
Although there were no jackpot winners, there was a Match 5 plus Power Play winner worth $2 million in Georgia and Texas and a Match 5 plus Power Play winner worth $1 million in Georgia.

The next drawing will be Saturday, Sept. 23, at 10:59 p.m. ET.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
How to play the Powerball
The Powerball costs $2 per play. In Delaware, tickets may be purchased until 9:45 p.m. ET on the day of the drawing.

To play, select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls, then select one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

There's a chance to have your winnings increased two, three, four, five and 10 times through the Power Play for an additional $1 per play. Players can multiply non-jackpot wins up to 10 times when the jackpot is $150 million or less.
All prizes are set cash amounts, except for the grand prize. In California, prize payout amounts are pari-mutuel, meaning it's determined by the sales and the number of winners.

The odds of winning the Powerball grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338. The odds for the lowest prize, $4 for one red Powerball, are 1 in 38.32.
According to Powerball, the overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.87, based on a $2 play and rounded to two decimal places.

The winning numbers for Tuesday night's drawing were 6, 9, 13, 29, 66 and the Powerball was 24. The Megaplier was 2X.
