Second Largest Mega Millions Jackpot To Be Drawn On Friday: $1.35B
CONCORD, NH — Lottery players in New Hampshire won more than $250,000 after Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, including three players that picked four of the five correct numbers and the mega ball — defying 1 in 931,001 odds.
A $30,000 winning ticket was sold at the Shell gas station on 620 Amherst St. in Nashua, while two $10,000 winning tickets were sold at Homestead Grocery and Deli on 432 Boston Post Road in Amherst and the Circle K on 8 White Avenue in Bedford.
There were no winners on Tuesday, meaning the Mega Millions jackpot was expected to reach $1.35 billion on Friday.
“I cannot think of a better way to turn this Friday the 13th around than to win $1.35 billion,” Charlie McIntyre, the New Hampshire Lottery executive director, said. “With this jackpot soaring well past the $1 billion mark now, our players and retailers have definitely taken notice as we are seeing tremendous sales at our retailers and via NH iLottery.”
The one-time cash payout, before taxes, was expected to be around $708 million. No one has won the jackpot since mid-October 2022.
“We are hoping to award one of our New Hampshire players this prize,” McIntyre said. “Just imagine what you could buy: a private jet, a private island, your dream home on every continent, the possibilities are endless with $1.35 billion!”
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Tickets are on sale at more than 1,200 retailers statewide and online at NH iLottery. For more information and to play, visit nhlottery.com.
Since 1964, the New Hampshire Lottery has contributed nearly $2.5 billion to education.
