The company holding the license for a future $250 million casino and resort in Louisiana is interested in moving it from the northeast to the southeast part of the state. The company has started discussion with officials in St. Tammany Parish about the project.
The project for a new Louisiana casino is in discussion phase. It would have to be approved by the state legislature and the State Gaming Control Board. The new Live! Casino & Hotel in Philadelphia opened in January for exclusive members only and is scheduled to open for the public on February 11. The facility is situated just 6 miles from Brooklawn Shopping Center and it is worth $700 million. Live!'s brand promises to benefit the city by bringing $2 billion in economic stimulus.
