Louisiana Gaming Regulators approve the relocation of the Diamond Jacks casino from Bossier City to Slidell. The new casino will be a $329 million resort with a 4-star hotel. It will provide jobs and generate $9 million in taxes. However, the local community is not keen on the idea. A referendum will take place next week in St. Tammany Parish. If it's not approved, P2P will have to put the license in Bossiers back to good use. The company has 60 days to reopen the casino. if it is approved the new one could be ready in 2023.
