Dutch regulators have issued 10 online gambling licenses
Ten online gambling operators were granted licenses by the Kansspelautoriteit in the Netherlands on October 1. Four Dutch companies were the lucky recipients of licenses.
Dutch regulators have issued 10 online gambling licenses. Six offshore companies gained licenses, while 30 companies were rejected. The waiting period for those companies was set at 6 months. The Dutch officials want to see all elements of legal and regulated online gaming offered to residents. They want people not to feel drawn to illegal operators.
The CRUKS system is malfunctioning. Regulators are trying to implement the regulatory framework for the market. The parameters of the identity check are different for people with or without a BSN (Citizen Service Number). Operators can check if a player has self-excluded, or had been added by a family member, and listed in the database by an operator.
