Dutch Regulator Approves First Ten Online Gambling Licenses. The KSA has revealed the names of the online gambling companies that will receive licenses to operate in the Dutch market starting October 1st 2021.
Regulator signs off on ten successful applications for online sports betting and iGaming licenses. The licenses will be valid as of 1 October. Lawmakers in the Netherlands legalized online gambling earlier this year. The regulator has received 29 license applications to date, with over one-third of them having been successful.

Media reports suggest Betsson, Entain, Kindred Group, and 888 Holdings are interested in getting a license. Jansen has refused to name any successful applicants.
Unlicensed operators must stop accepting new customers on October 1. PokerStars, Unibet and Bwin are among those that offer their services to Dutch customers. They could face fines of up to €600,000 and up of 4% of annual turnover if they do not leave the market.
