Holland Casino Warned by KSA for Violation of Advertising Ban
Holland Casino has been warned by Kansspelautoriteit for violation of the whistle-to-whistle ban on betting advertising.
Holland Casino was warned by the KSA for promoting betting ads on the Eredivisie.nl website during soccer matches. The K SA found out that the information provided by ERedivsie was correct. Ksa reprimanded the operator and ordered it to stop the practice. The new online gambling regime in the Netherlands prohibits advertising on sports competitions before, during, or immediately after the matches, including at half-time or during breaks.
The KSA has been busy since the launch of the new online gambling regime. It is dealing with issues such as gambling addiction, illegal operators, self-exclusion registration of players, and others. The regulator hired three new gambling addicts for the national gambling self exclusion registry Centraal Register Uitsluiting Kansspelen (CRUKS) and warned operators that incorrect player data entered in the register was affecting the system’s effectiveness. In December, the K SA warned all players who were still playing online via an unlicensed operator to switch to one of them.
