Another delay for Emerald Bay Resort and Casino
The first phase of the Emerald Bay Resort and Casino development in the Philippines will not open before the first quarter of 2023. The Paul Steelman-designed property was originally set to begin welcoming guests by the end of last year.
The Emerald Bay Resort and Casino was delayed by six months. It was supposed to open in January 2022. Now, the company claims it will open it in the first quarter of 2023.
PH Resorts Group Holdings Incorporated has completed almost 41% of Emerald Bay Resort and Casino’s first phase. It intends to shortly begin the process of finishing off its interiors and fits-outs.
Emerald Bay Resort and Casino is being built on a 13.5-acre plot of beachfront land 3.7 miles from Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Initial phase is expected to feature 270 hotel rooms, a 44,700 sq ft casino offering a selection of 600 slots and 122 gaming tables, food and beverage outlets, and a section of private beach.
PH Resorts Group Holdings Incorporated wants to expand Emerald Bay Resort and Casino by the end of 2027. The venue's casino will be expanded by 88,370 sq ft to accommodate 729 slots and 146 gaming tables.
