KING OF PRUSSIA PA – A 53-year-old man from Zieglerville is being labeled by state police as a “suspect” in what their report claims is a theft incident that occurred Sunday (May 1, 2022) at 2:08 a.m. in the Valley Forge Casino Resort, 1160 First Avenue.

Troopers from the Skippack barracks, working in the casino on behalf of the state Bureau of Gaming Enforcement, said they were notified Tuesday (May 3, 2022) by a 51-year-old Mays Landing NJ woman that her iPhone 12 had been left at a slot machine on the casino floor. The mobile device was valued at $700.

During their investigation, troopers – assumedly relying on surveillance camera footage – wrote “the suspect approached the unattended machine, picked up the phone, and ultimately left the casino with the phone.” He was later identified as a Zieglerville resident.

The report does not indicate if, or when, any charges might be brought.
