Casino report: Women, ages 60 and 73, smack it out over slot machine
Sept. 6, 7:49 p.m.: From Sept. 6 to Dec. 3, Jeremy Robinson and Brittney Warren withdrew electronic currency called total awards credits from two different victims’ accounts, a 39-year-old male from Glenolden and a 56-year-old male from Media. They used the victims’ players’ cards in an unauthorized manner at Harrah’s Casino. $5,658 in electronic currency and awards credits were stolen.
Physical harassment
Jan. 8, 5:53 p.m.: Casino surveillance contacted troopers about a patron who struck another patron over a slot machine. The suspect was identified as Deborah Council, 73, Wilmington, Delaware. From viewing surveillance video three slot machines were identified. The victim, a 60-year-old woman from Norwood was playing the left machine and then moved to the middle. Council was playing the right machine. Council got up and went to the left machine. The two women then argued over the use of that machine and both attempted to put money in that machine when Council struck the victim in the face, and the victim made a counter strike on Council.
Theft
Jan. 17, 9:13 a.m.: An unknown victim dropped her voucher for approximately $23 and it was picked up and cashed by the suspect.
Criminal Trespass
Jan. 17, 12:15 p.m.: A 32 year-old male from Aldan entered the casino after he had self-excluded himself from all Pennsylvania casinos for a life time, effective March 2014. The patron was cited for trespassing.
Public Drunkenness
Feb.3, 4:13 p.m.: Casino security contacted troopers in reference to a drunk patron who was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the casino. He was asked to leave multiple times, refused and was finally taken into custody and identified with a Delaware driver’s license as Andre Harris. The trooper noticed a strong odor of alcohol and Harris had extremely slurred speech. He was escorted to the bus stop and released but then followed the trooper back into the casino where he was detained.
Assault
Feb. 4, 10:02 p.m.: A 35-year-old Philadelphia man was verbally abusive toward security staff. The accused then got physical with security staff and resisted as troopers attempted to place him into custody.
Public Drunkenness
Feb. 5, 1:45 a.m.: Harrah’s surveillance contacted troopers for a patron who was causing a disturbance on the casino floor. Upon arrival, troopers made contact with a 59-year-old Philadelphia man who was intoxicated and cursing at the staff. Charges were filed and the man was released to his wife.
