Powerball winning numbers: Sydney winner to claim $30M jackpot prize
A Sydneysider is waking up millions and millions of dollars richer on Friday but they might not know it yet.
The search is on to find the lucky $30m Powerball winner, who won draw 1304 on Thursday night.
The NSW resident held the only division one winning entry across the country and will take home the entire $30m jackpot - provided they pick up the phone.
The winning ticket was purchased online at The Lott and although the entry was registered to an online account, officials from The Lott were unable to make contact with the winner on Thursday night to deliver the life-changing news.
The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said repeated attempts to phone the new multi-millionaire had failed.
“I was ready to confirm Powerball’s newest division one winner straight after the results of tonight’s draw were known, but sadly whenever I called the number provided, it just rang out and went straight to message bank,” he said.
“If you see a number of missed calls on your phone, you could be the winner we’re trying to contact.
“You may not think it’s possible you’re the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an online entry into this week’s Powerball draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance.”
Mr Hart urged Powerball players to check their entries as soon as possible.
The winning numbers were 7, 19, 11, 12, 5, 25 and 8, and the all-important Powerball number was 20.
The lucky winner was the seventh Powerball division one winner so far in 2021, with five of those seven division one wins also coming from NSW.
Anyone who discovers they are holding the division one winning ticket should contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming their prize.
