Lotto ticket holders urged to check missed calls after organisers fail to get hold of winners of £26million jackpot
LOTTERY ticket holders in Australia are being urged to check their phones as the results are announced after organisers struggle to get hold of winners of £26million.
There were two lucky players invited to share the huge prize from Tuesday night's Oz Lotto jackpot.
Lottery organisers say the new millionaires, from Queensland and Western Australia, still may not know that their life is about to change forever.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said repeated attempts to call the Queensland winner, who bought their ticket at The Lott website, had been unsuccessful.
"I was ready to confirm Oz Lotto's newest division one winner straight after the results of tonight's draw were known," he said.
"But sadly whenever I called the number provided, it just rang out and went straight to message bank.
"If you see a number of missed calls on your phone, you could be the winner we're trying to contact.
"You may not think it's possible you're the division one winner we're searching for, but if you purchased an online entry into this week's Oz Lotto draw that you haven't checked yet, you're in with a chance.
"We're urging all Oz Lotto players to check their entries as soon as possible."
Lotterywest will be getting in contact with the Western Australian winner or winners.
Another 892,135 ticketholders won prizes across divisions two to seven, collecting more than £9.95million.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1458 on January 25, 2022 were 17, 31, 22, 11, 26, 36 and 4. The supplementary numbers were 16 and 6.
Back in the UK, a whopping £30million is up for grabs tonight in the EuroMillions draw which could make you as rich as Dua Lipa.
And you have just a few hours left to snap up a ticket for a chance to win a fortune and be richer than some of the highest-earning popstars.

You'd also even be richer than rapper 50 Cent, whose fortune is estimated to be approximately £29million.
