Powerball $8m draw details, results, winning numbers
Powerball is set to jackpot again from $8 million after no one took out the first division prize.
Two people did win big in division two however and will split more than $330,000.
The lucky numbers this week were 28, 25, 10, 27, 14, 11, 32 and the powerball was 6.
So far this year, there have been 10 Powerball division one winning entries that have collectively pocketed more than $379 million in prize money.
The biggest Powerball winner for this year by far was a Melbourne cleaner who took home $80 million.
The last time someone scored a prize similar to Thursday night’s offering was in May this year, when a Sydney mum won $9.7 million.
The mum, from Carnes Hill in western Sydney, said a psychic had said someone in the family would win the lottery.
“I am shaking. I am crying,” the Sydney woman told The Lott at the time.
“I saw on Facebook that someone had won almost $10 million.
“Then I looked a little closer at the post and realised that the ticket was purchased from the same place that I had bought mine.
“I’d won $13 on another ticket and used this prize to buy this winning ticket. I can’t believe it.
“I’m crying. I haven’t even told my husband yet. I’m just sitting at home.
“This is going to be amazingly life-changing.
“A psychic recently told my mum that someone in the family would win the lottery and that they would help the rest of the family.
“Oh my god. I guess she was right.”
Lottery spokesman Matt Hart said there was an easy way to make sure you knew you were the winner, rather than spending days with the prize going unclaimed, as it has in the past.
“My tip for anyone buying an entry is to register your tickets to a player card or online account and make sure those details are up to date,” Mr Hart said.
“If you win division one, I’m guessing you’ll want to know about it as soon as possible after the draw.”
