Las Vegas Strip Adds a Huge New Casino Project From a Big Name
For decades downtown Las Vegas, the Fremont Street area served as a grittier alternative to the glitz and glamour of the mega-resorts on the Las Las Vitesse Strip. The downtown casinos were closer to old-school Las. Vegas than the Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International, Wynn Resort and Resports World International.
Fertita bought a 6.2-acre land for $270 million. It's currently occupied by a Travelodge motel, strip mall and parking lot. The property is directly across from CityCenter and several of the Strip's most luxurious properties. Vital Vegas' Scott Roeben believes Fertitta plans to make the east side of that section of Strip as luxurious as the west side.
Dream Las Vegas is a high-end boutique resort casino under development on the Las Las Vegas Strip. It will be two blocks from Allegiant Stadium and close to T-Mobile Arena. Fontainebleau LasVegasy is on track for a late-2023 opening. Hard Rock International will take over Mirage from MGM and build a Guitar Hotel.
