KUALA LUMPUR: Police caught nine foreigners gambling on slot machines following a raid on a premises at Jalan Brunei 3, off Jalan Pudu here.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said they raided the premises at around 6.30pm on Monday (May 17).

"We also caught one local man and two foreigners who were working as caretakers there.

"All those arrested were aged between 17 and 71," he said in a statement on Tuesday (May 18).

He said they also seized an access card, 16 electronic betting boxes, eight monitors, four gambling machines, a modem and router, four note books and RM10,213 cash.

"We have remanded all of them to help with further investigations.

"The case has been classified under Section 4(1)(c) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953 and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act," he said, urging those with information on such activities to contact the police immediately.
