Whitby mother-of-four wins $350,000-plus LOTTARIO jackpot

Chiharu Ooka of Whitby won ‘Ontario’s jackpot’ – $356,461.60 i- n the June 11, LOTTARIO draw. She also won $4 on another one of her LOTTARIO selection, bringing her total winnings to $356,465.60.
Ooka, a 46-year-old mother, said she is a regular lottery player and always plays numbers comprised of significant family dates. “It was early one morning when I checked my ticket using the OLG App. I saw Big Winner and I was surprised,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I restarted the app to be sure and then checked the winning numbers on the OLG website.”
Ooka said this win is a blessing for her. “It feels amazing – I will use this to pay for education for myself, my husband and our children. And I’ll put some aside for a family vacation.”
OLG is booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. We strongly encourage those with claims between $1,000 and $49,999.90 to submit them online or mail them in. Submitting claims online is fast and secure. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options.
