University of Guelph has published its newest gambling research in the Psychology of Addictive Behaviors journal. The research questioned bettors who claimed that they have gambled at least once a week and who have set goals of limiting their gambling activity via time and money restraint tools.
The University of Guelph has published a study on limits in gambling. It found that limits are effective for some bettors, but they are ineffective for others. The study found losses were higher on days when gamblers violated their limits. The researchers concluded that stress and past attempts to deal with temptations in non-gambling domains would be important aspects when players break their own limits, as well as when they write about resisting temptings.
The University of Guelph has published a new gambling research. Statistics Canada found that more than 300,000 Canadians are at severe or moderate risk of developing gambling-related problems. The legalization of single-event wagering and the opening of online sports betting in Ontario could increase the number of problem gamblers.
