Rockford Casino is applying for sports betting licensing. It hopes to have a sportsbook open by the end of 2022. The casino wants to add live table games by early next year. It would likely include just a handful of tables with options to play poker and blackjack against a dealer.
The sportsbook and table games will help Rockford see a better advantage over its competitors. The casino generated over $34 million in revenues during the first eight months it was in business. In April alone, the casino earned over $5.1 million. This is a temporary casino space, as the full-scale casino is not even under construction yet.
