Rio Casino Reopens for Weekends as Other Venues Close
Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas reopens for the weekend after being closed since March. Caesars Entertainment has been very picky about which venues it opened due to low visitation rates.
The Rio casino is open for the weekend. It will accept reservations at its hotel for each day of the week until January 3. After that date, it will only take hotel reservations from Thursday through Monday. The gaming floor will be open all week. There is self-parking, which is free. Players can place sports bets via the William Hill sportsbook.
All hotel-casinos are back in operation on the Las Vegas Strip. The tourism numbers are slow, especially on that area. Some operators are only accepting reservations on weekends, while others are open all week and open on weekend. Travelers are still leery of going far from home to Las Las. Sin City relies on out of towners for the majority of tourism. There are also incidents of violence on Strip, with shootings and fights breaking out most every weekend for a few months.
