Players win over $1B in online play from the Virginia Lottery
RICHMOND, Va. (WFXR) – After a little more than a year since the Virginia Lottery launched its online games, players have won more than $1 billion.
In fewer than 16 months, more than 213,000 unique players have had more than 196 million wins playing at valottery.com.
Those figures do not count the traditional retail store locations that offer Virginia Lottery games across the Commonwealth which account for 70 percent of total lottery sales which includes the popular games of Powerball, Mega Millions, Cash4Life, Pick 3 and Pick 4 as well as instant win scratchers which can all be purchased at Virginia Lottery retail locations as well as online.
The largest online win, thus far, has been from a McLean woman who won $2 million playing Powerball.
Three online players each won $1,000 a week for life playing Cash4Life.

Anyone age 18 and older who are physically located in Virginia can play online by setting up an account.
Customers undergo robust identity and age verification checks before they can play online.
Nine of the 10 biggest online instant wins have come from progressive jackpot games where the jackpot continues to grow until a player wins the accumulated jackpot.
The largest win so far was from an Aldie woman who won $209,149 playing the VIP Ultra game.
