Wilmington woman has winning lottery ticket in NC Education Lottery
A woman from Wilmington is taking home a $100,000 prize after purchasing a $3 Power Play lottery ticket using Online Play, according to a news release from NC Education Lottery.
Amanda Bryant's Quick Pick ticket scored her a $50,000 prize on the Nov. 13 drawing, after matching the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball. The prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier hit, according to the release.
Bryant claimed her prize on Nov. 27 from the lottery headquarters, taking home $71,251 after federal and state tax withholdings.
Powerball is one of six games where players can purchase tickets at retail locations or through Online Play through the lottery's website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.
The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are one in 292 million.
