Pennsylvania Gambling Results Continue Downward Trend
May is over and casinos in Pennsylvania have been able to muster the latest numbers. Following an all-time high posted in March, Pennsylvania's casinos have slipped on the results.
Revenue for the month of May this year stood at $447.7 million. This is a $13.8 million drop compared to April when the revenue stood to $461.6 million, but it's higher by 8% year-over-year. Hollywood Casino saw the biggest increase in revenue over the period, with $62. 8 million dollars. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh's revenue hit $31.5 million and Hollywood casino based at the Meadows in Washington County generated another $23. 5 million in May.
Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin posted just $2 million, mostly from slot machines. Live! Casino Pittsburgh posted $9.5 million. Overall, $205.6 million was generated from retail slot gaming in Pennsylvania in May. $88. 5 million came from table games, while $32.2million came for online gambling tables.
