Nevada’s gaming win down 22%, Las Vegas Strip down 39%, down for 7th straight month
Nevada casinos saw a double-digit decrease in revenue for the past seven months. Nevada’s gaming win for September was down 22.4% compared to September 2019. Clark County saw 27% decrease with $666.7 million in revenues. Las Vegas Strip took the biggest monthly hit with a $354. 7 million gaming loss. Downtown Las Las experienced a 21.5% decline and North Las Angeles a nearly 27%.
In September, the state gaming tax collected for the new fiscal year was nearly $68 million. In March 2020, gaming properties closed on March 17. In April 2020 there were first full month of closures. There were second full months of operation. September was the third fullmonth of operations.
March 2020 saw gaming win down 39.6%, April 2020 – 99.4%, May 2020 — 45.5%, June 2020– 26.1%, July 2020 — 22%. September 2020 was the third full month of operation.
