Nevada casinos post 7th straight billion-dollar revenue month
Nevada casinos post 7th straight billion-dollar revenue month. California's wildfires were the primary culprit in diminishing activity and business at casinos on the north and south shores of Lake Tahoe during September.
Wildfires in California hurt Lake Tahoe casinos' September revenue. Nevada casinos continue their recovery and have produced $1 billion or more in gaming revenue for seven straight months. Las Vegas Strip casinos are also showing a healthy rebound. The Strip brought in $2.1billion in the third quarter. The only other time Clark County reached $ 1 billion in a single month was in October 2007. It's the fifth time in six months the market recorded that figure. For the first nine months of 2021, Strip gaming totals are less than 1 percent ahead of 2019.
