The winner of a £20million National Lottery jackpot marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee has come forward to claim their prize. The special prize draw to mark the Queen's 70 years on the throne was held last Saturday (June 4).

Lottery organiser Camelot UK has now confirmed that the 'Must Be Won' jackpot was claimed by a single ticket-holder. It says the claim will now go through the validation process which will ensure the rules and conditions were adhered to.

If successful, the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot’s Winners’ Advisers, the Mirror reports. The ticket holder will then be able to decide if they want to go public about their good fortune - or remain anonymous.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “It’s been an incredible couple of months for Lotto players with an amazing 30 millionaires made in April and May alone. We’re delighted that this £20million Jubilee weekend Lotto jackpot has been claimed.

"Our focus is now on supporting the ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win. Here’s hoping for another Lotto jackpot winner on Saturday night (June 11) when there is an estimated £4.1million up for grabs."

Alongside the £20million Jubilee jackpot, Lotto jackpot prizes of £8.5million, £8.6million and £3.8million from the draws on May 11, 25 and 28 have all been won, as well as £5.3million and £8.5million jackpots from the draws on April 13 and 27. All of these have now been claimed, Camelot said.
