Players are being urged to check their tickets as no one has claimed the £5,355,727 prize for the draw on April 1

The National Lottery is on a hunt for a winning ticket holder who is sitting on a huge £5million fortune.

Players are being urged to check their tickets as no one is yet to claim the £5,355,727 prize for the draw on April 1.

As well as the £5 million ticket, which was bought online, another prize of £1 million from the same draw hasn’t been claimed.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What a sensational start to the summer it could be for the lucky multi-millionaire who has maybe yet to realise it.

"Imagine what you could do with just over £5million - a once-in-a-lifetime holiday, a dream pad or treating your nearest and dearest, and a lot else besides.”

Lottery players can sign into their online accounts or check the National Lottery app to see if they are the lucky winner of the life-changing sums.

Winner will have 18- days from the draw to claim the cash.

Once a ticket-holder has called Camelot and the claim has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news.

If no one comes forward before the deadline, the money and interest it generates will go towards National Lottery funded charities and organisations across the UK.

In this weekends Lotto draw, a top prize of more than £7 million is up for grab after no lucky winners hit the jackpot on Wednesday.

Saturday’s estimated jackpot is £7.1 million, Camelot said.
