A lucky single-ticket holder has bagged the life-changing £2million top jackpot prize in tonight's UK Lotto draw - and another has won the Thunderball, too.

On an incredibly lucky night for Brits, one ticket has won the main Lotto prize, two have won the second prize of £1million each and 97 have each bagged £1,750 for matching five of the six main numbers.

While one ticket has won the main Thunderball prize of £500,000 and two have won £5,000 for matching the five main numbers 13 tickets picked up £13,000 on the Lotto HotPicks.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at the National Lottery, said: “What fantastic news for a single ticket-holder who has won tonight’s £2M Lotto jackpot.

"This winner follows on from Saturday’s huge £20M jackpot win, which is yet to be claimed. Players are being urged to check their tickets and give us a call to claim these fantastic prizes."

The lucky Lotto punter picked all six main numbers and the bonus ball to bag the £2million cash sum.

The numbers were - 1, 8, 12, 16, 18, 42 and the Bonus Ball was 4.

Meanwhile the Thunderball game, which is drawn four days out of every week, was also won by a single ticket holder.

They matched all five main numbers and the Thunderball ball to bag a cool half a million.

The Thunderball numbers were - 6, 22, 28, 32, 37 and the Thunderball was 7.

Andy Carter added: "National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country raising, on average, around £30M every week.

"Thanks to National Lottery players, over £800M has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus, including more than £400M to support the most vulnerable in our communities."

Four days ago, on Saturday, January 9, one ticket bagged the £20 million top prize and five more netted £1 million each after matching five numbers plus the bonus ball.

Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will decide whether or not to go public and share their news.

If not all details will remain anonymous including whether it's a single winner or a syndicate, and where the lucky ticket was bought.

The big prize win comes after a joiner who won an amazing £58million lottery jackpot treated seven of his friends to a first-class holiday in Dubai.

Ryan Hoyle, 38, treated his pals to five-star penthouse suites and £1,700 bottles of vodka and Champagne over the New Year.

The self-employed joiner discovered he had won £58,366,487 on EuroMillions last April while checking his emails at 6am.

The coronavirus pandemic had prevented Ryan from celebrating properly, but he and seven of his tradesmen pals finally made the trip to Dubai a few weeks ago.

And the £20m isn't the only big ticket win in 2021.

One lucky ticket holder in the UK started 2021 with a bang after scooping the £39.7million EuroMillions jackpot on New Year's Day.

Camelot confirmed last week a claim had been submitted a whopping £39,774,466.40.

The winner beat the odds of one in 139,838,160 to scoop the jackpot on the first day of 2021.
