MPs call out legal protection minister for not tackling online gambling ads
The Netherlands legalised online gambling on October 1. Since then the number of gambling ads has exploded. In December MPs voted for an end to the 'unguided barrage' and on Thursday they called out the minister Franc Weerwind for not carrying out their motion. They are angry about the use of celebrities, such as magician Hans Klok and football player Wesley Sneijder in the ads and the sheer volume.
