Man arrested in death of woman found in Las Vegas Strip hotel room
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro police have arrested a man in the death of a woman who was found in a Las Vegas Strip hotel room.
Dandre Owens, 29, faces several charges including open murder, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, and possession of a gun by a prohibited person, records showed.
On Jan. 29 at around 2 a.m., police responded to a hotel in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard to perform a welfare check.
Arriving officers found a woman in a room with an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim, identified as 29-year-old Brittani Bailey, dead at the scene.
A source told 8 News Now that the homicide was at the MGM Grand.
