Two people found dead inside Las Vegas Palms Casino and Spa hotel room by employee
Two people have been found dead inside a Las Vegas hotel as police investigate the homicide.
The bodies were discovered by an employee of Palms Casino Resort in the city, with several police cars swarming the scene.
Areas of the road are cordoned off after the tragic find on Tuesday.
The Palms Casino is situated close to Flamingo & Arville near the Las Vegas strip and a short distance from the famous Bellagio hotel and casino.
Orko Manna, a local reporter, tweeted: "Las Vegas Police Department tells us that two people were found dead inside a room at the @Palms Place.
"They were found by an employee. We just got on scene & there is a heavy police presence."
Photographs of the scene show a long line of police vehicles parked on the road.
Local reports claim that the slain pair were two women found dead inside a hotel room on Tuesday afternoon.
According to local media, a preliminary investigation has claimed it could have been a 'murder-suicide' and it remains an ongoing investigation.
In 2014, a Southern Californian rapper, Evan Plunkett, was gunned down after a fight erupted at the hotel's Fantasy Tower.
The 25-year-old was shot inside a suite at the hotel after a brawl broke out during the filming of a music video.
He died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Clark County Coroner.
Around 40 to 50 people were at the party and the hotel was temporarily locked down at the time following the shooting.
The Palms is home to some of the most extravagant party suites in Las Vegas, including a 9,000-square-foot Sky Villa, which costs $40,000 a night to rent.
