$5 Million Oz Lotto Jackpot Keeps Sutherland Shire Man Awake All Night
Sutherland Shire’s newest multi-millionaire says he’ll struggle to stay awake today after the revelation he was one of last night’s Oz Lotto jackpot winners kept him wide awake all night.
The Sydney resident held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Oz Lotto draw 1432, drawn Tuesday 27 July 2021. Each division one winning entry takes home an incredible $5 million prize.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this morning, the stunned man explained he was still trying to digest the overwhelming revelation.
“Thank you,” he laughed.
“I feel good! I’m still trying to take it all in.
“I checked my ticket last night and I couldn’t sleep after that.
“I am so excited and grateful! I think I am a bit stunned, I’m not quite sure what to say.
“I’ve been playing for a long time, maybe around 10 years, so for this to happen is a dream come true.”
With $5 million about to hit his bank account, the Sydneysider said he’d be using his time in lockdown to hatch a plan for his prize.
“I’m really not sure what I’ll do at this stage. I’ll let the news sink in and then work out what I want to do,” he said.
“Maybe I will buy a house. I really don’t know!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his life-changing 50-game marked entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1432 on Tuesday 27 July 2021 were 43, 4, 39, 35, 44, 1 and 30 while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 38.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1432 – two from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 257 so far this calendar year, including 71 won by New South Wales customers.
In 2020, 24 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across Australia collectively won more than $234.15 million.
During this time, the biggest Oz Lotto jackpot was $50 million, which was won by a North Sydney woman in July.
