Las Vegas Strip casinos help fuel gaming win bump in April
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Casinos on the Las Vegas Strip rolled boxcars en route to another big month this past April.
The win revenue for nonrestricted gaming licensees on the Strip was about $666.1 million, per new figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
That's up about 6.6% compared to April last year, when the gaming win was $624.7 million.
Statewide, the gaming win for April was $1.24 billion. That's down from March, when was $1.29 billion, but it's up nearly 7% from the year-ago month's win of $1.16 billion.
Nevada ultimately collected $70.3 million in percentage fees based on the taxable revenue generated in April, according to the Gaming Control Board.
