Las Vegas casinos allowed to move capacity limits to 80% as of May 1
Nevada Gaming Control Board issued an updated emergency directive Friday to allow casinos and gaming establishments to operate at the respective levels approved by local authorities. Southern Nevada resorts will be able to open 80 percent capacity with three-foot social distancing in Clark County and at 100 percent with no social distance in Nye County. In Northern Nevada, casinos in Carson City will operate 100% with six-ft social distances. Washoe County's plan has yet to receive the necessary endorsements for approval.
Steve Sisolak signed a new directive that moves COVID-19 mitigation measures to local authorities. The new reopening plan would move capacity limits to 80%, a plan that Clark County commissioners voted in favor of. All local plans have to receive approval from the Nevada CO VID- 19 Task Force. Nevada Gaming Control Board will continue to have authority over casinos.
