Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Wants in on Times Square Casino Action

SL Green and Caesars Entertainment have partnered with Roc Nation to pursue a commercial casino in Times Square, New York City. The state requires a public approval before a local community advisory committee can green-light a casino license.
Jay-Z's Roc Nation wants to develop a casino in Times Square. The casino would be named Caesars Palace Times-Sqaure. It has already received support from a broad coalition of Times Sqaurs stakeholders. It is expected to attract over seven million new visits annually and over 600k overnight stays. There would also be more than seven millions meals for restaurants and US$166 million in sports betting volume.
Wynn Resorts and Related Companies want to participate in the bidding process for a casino license. Stefan Soloviev has already started discussions with Las Vegas gambling brands to bring a casinos south of the United Nations building in Manhattan.
