Golden Gate Hotel & Casino celebrates 115th birthday in downtown Las Vegas (KSNV)
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The oldest casino in Downtown Las Vegas will undergo an upcoming temporary shutdown.
The Golden Gate Hotel and Casino will be closed for five days from December 18 - 22.
Property owner Derek Stevens made the Friday announcement on X:
According to the post, the casino will be seeking some 'special tender, love, and care' just ahead of Christmas.
The property is set to reopen on Saturday, December 23 with a grand celebration.
Stevens invites the community to wear holiday attire for complimentary drinks from 6-8 p.m. and join their annual Santa’s Helper event.
According to Golden Gate’s booking portal, there is no availability or room reservation access from December 17-27.
