Detroit casino revenue sees 9% monthly increase in July

The three Detroit casinos reported $116.9 million in monthly aggregate revenue for July. Table games and slots generated $115.7 million, while retail sports betting generated $1.2 million.

MGM Grand Detroit recorded $53.8 million in revenue and its market share was 46%. MotorCity reported $38.5 million and their market shares were 34%. Greektown had a revenue of $23.4 million. The casinos paid $9.3 million to the State of Michigan and $13.9 million for wagering taxes and development payments to Detroit.

The three Detroit casinos paid $45,807 in state taxes on retail sports bets during July. They also submitted $55,987 in retail betting taxes to the City of Detroit. Fantasy contest operators reported total adjusted revenues of $8.3 million and paid taxes of $110,245 for June.
