Detroit casinos report $110.4 million in aggregate revenue for September
The three Detroit casinos reported $110.4 million in monthly aggregate revenue for September. Table games and slots generated $106.9 million, and retail sports betting produced $3.5 million.
Detroit casinos reported $87.9 million in monthly aggregate revenue during September 2020. In September 2019, the casinos will report $112.3 million.
Table games and slot revenue rose 21.6% from September 2020. September monthly revenue fell 4.7% compared with August results.
MGM, MotorCity and Greektown casinos report $110.4 million in aggregate revenue for September. Table games and slot gaming revenue rose 105.9% compared with results for the same nine months in 2020. The casinos paid $8.7 million to the State of Michigan during September compared to $7.1 million for same month last year.
Aggregate revenue was up 112.9% during the third quarter compared with the same period last year. MGM, MotorCity and Greektown casinos paid $27.1 million in gaming taxes to the State of Michigan compared to $12.7 million for the previous year's period.
Retail sports betting qualified adjusted gross receipts (QAGR) for September dropped 20.9% compared with September 2020 results. QAGr rose 109.8% from August 2021. The casinos reported a total handle of $32,528,487 and total gross revenues of $3,459,841.
