Casino Mogul Steve Wynn Relists Las Vegas Mansion for $24.5M

Steve Wynn, the casino tycoon, is rolling the dice again on a sale of his megamansion in Las Vegas.
The 15,000-square-foot home was built in 2001 by Wynn’s brother Ken, and sold to a buyer who was not in the family. Steve Wynn purchased the place in 2018 for $13 million and undertook a yearlong, $16 million renovation.
He added features and finishes inspired by some of the most sumptuous suites at the luxury hotels he’s owned over the decades.
About a year after the renovation was complete, Wynn put the six-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion back on the market in 2020 for $25 million. He dropped the price to $19.5 million in December 2020.
Now, nearly a year later, he’s raised the stakes, with an asking price of $24.5 million.
All the renovations performed on the mansion were high-end and beyond the reach of anyone who is not a mogul. Take the crystal staircase in the entry hall, for example, or the pillars made of solid marble.
Wynn is also known for his world-class art collection, so it figures that he installed an art room with a deluxe fire-proof protection system.
In case of an emergency, custom features fight the flames, sealing the room off from the rest of the house so that it is protected from the blaze.
The treatments Wynn used on the mansion’s walls, floors, and ceilings are definitely five-star. They are lined with such fabrics as silk, mohair, and Tuscan suede.
Backlit, coffered ceilings abound, in an array of formations. The custom light fixtures are fabulous and a true highlight of the home’s two luxe offices.
The master suite features spalike, his-and-hers bathrooms, as well as beautiful balconies with golf course views that are particularly dramatic at sunset.
Massive his-and-hers closets resemble a high-end boutique, with their white lacquer drawers, shelves, and wardrobe displays.
A kitchen features professional chef-grade appliances, as well as wood finishes of Macassar ebony and walnut. For dining in, there’s an adjacent, sunny breakfast nook.
Other luxe features include a temperature-controlled wine cellar adjacent to the formal dining room, an elegant home theater, and a library with custom cabinetry from floor to ceiling.
Even the laundry room is impressive, with marble countertops, two washers, and two dryers.
The 1.41-acre grounds are triple-gated, for the ultimate in security. Outdoor spaces were designed to be reminiscent of a Mediterranean resort, with rolling lawns, fountains, terraces, and elegant furniture surrounding the pool and spa.
As luxurious this Las Vegas mansion is, Wynn has an even better one on the market in Beverly Hills.
That 11-bedroom, 27,150-square-foot estate has been listed at $110 million since January.
