Silverton Casino Lodge welcomes back guests with modern refurb: Travel Weekly
The accommodations have three distinct design stories: Cowboy Kitsch Collection rooms reflect what Silverton officials call "a quirky blend of rustic chic with tasteful modern accents." Rustic Modern Collection rooms feature weathered-looking furnishings amid a sense of being outdoors. Refined Lodge Collection rooms were inspired by the "elegant Rockies glam design and the legendary cattle baron homes found in the West."
"This is where luxury meets the rustic charm of a modern lodge," Silverton CEO Craig Cavileer said. "Each thoughtfully renovated room has been meticulously designed to be upscale, casual, fun and, of course, super comfortable."
The company's sister property, Hotel Drover, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel, which opened in 2021 in the Fort Worth Stockyards in Texas, inspired the redesign.
"This is more than a room remodel," said Kayla Wilkie, director of design and development for Majestic Realty Co., an affiliate of Silverton and Hotel Drover. "This was an opportunity to creatively reinvent our entire hotel operation in Las Vegas. While we are keeping aspects of our lodge theme that our guests have enjoyed over the years, our new rooms and suites will immerse our guests in a new spirit of rustic elegance, providing a unique Las Vegas hotel experience."
Silverton has also introduced two new experiences: Wine Time is a nightly, self-guided wine tasting. Social Hour features drink specials and appetizers from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays at the on-site Twin Creeks Steakhouse.
Rooms and suites in addition to the hotel's pool deck were closed for about a year during the $40 million renovation. The $10 million pool renovation, to be called the Swimming Hole, will have poolside dining, sports and movies with cabanas and firepits. It is set to open early next year.

Other amenities
A 117,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, with sharks, sting rays and tropical fish, continues to be a draw near the registration desk. Seasonal decorations and daily Mermaid Swims attract curious onlookers. The Las Vegas Review-Journal called the aquarium the "Best Free Attraction in Las Vegas."
The aquarium is next to the 165,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, with fishing, hunting, boating and other merchandise for outdoor recreation.
A 7.5-foot-by-53-foot LED video wall highlights the William Hill-operated race and sports book integrated into the 90,000-square-foot casino. The renovation also included new casino carpet and slot and video poker upgrades.
The "Stakes are High" program at Twin Creeks gives diners a chance to roll dice to win a complimentary Creekstone Farms Tomahawk, the steak house's signature cut. Other Silverton restaurants are the 24-hour Sundance Cafe, Mi Casa Grill Cantina, Su Casa sushi bar, Sundance Grill and WuHu Noodle.
Silverton Casino Lodge, located just southwest of the Strip on Interstate 15 and Blue Diamond Road, has easy freeway access and free parking. It is part of the Silverton Village, which also includes the 150-room Hyatt Place hotel, the 18-story Berkley condominiums and several other restaurants.
