Windsor-Essex Enters Next Reopening Phase without Casinos

Windsor-Essex is the last region in Ontario to enter Stage 3 of the business reopening plan. Casino venues and charitable gaming halls can launch operation when they are ready. In-person gaming in casino venues was put on pause since March 16 this year.
The temporary closure of the casino venues in Ontario has been ongoing for four months. The government has allowed the region of Windsor-Essex to enter Stage 3 on August 12. Table gaming will not be available during the first phase of this phase. The reopening will come with some conditions and restrictions.
Casino leader in Ontario won't reopening its casino complexes as the limited number of players allowed at all times would not cover the operation costs. Some Windsor residents are opposed to in-person casino gaming.
