The Dutch Remote Gaming Act is scheduled to enter into force on 1 March 2021. MPs at a Lower House Committee on 23 declined to raise further objections against the implementation of the Remote gaming Act.

The regulations accompanying the Remote Gaming Act will contain several provisions to ensure a level playing field for newly licensed operators. Online operators who have not "actively targeted" the Dutch market in past will not be immediately eligible for a remote license.
