The Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit made an announcement that is likely to upset bingo fans from this country. The measures granting temporary leniency will end this week and the online games will be strictly regulated. Until now, it was possible for online bingos to be organized without having a valid license.
Dutch Regulator to clamp down on online bingo from July 2020. Remote Gaming Act is scheduled to come into force in 2020 and will regulate the entire gambling market in the Netherlands. Unlicensed bingos will continue to exist, but the number of Internet binging rooms operating without a license is expected to decrease. The new law will bring the Dutch market closer to neighboring countries.
