Wild Wild West Gambling Hall venue closing for good
Red Rock Resorts Incorporated has announced that its Wild Wild West Gambling Hall property is to be permanently shuttered from later today. This is the fourth such move from the Las Vegas-headquartered firm following its analogous July decision involving the similarly-sized Fiesta Henderson, Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho venues. The company also explained that the sites for all of these enterprises are to now be sold without their gambling licenses so as to allow it to better concentrate on the construction of its coming Station Casino Durango.
Red Rock Resorts Incorporated hopes to open its $750 million Station Casino Durango by the summer of 2024. The complex will include a 211-room hotel, a 70,000 sq ft casino offering 46 gaming tables and over 2,00 slots, sportsbook, food and beverage outlets and 20, 000 sqft of meeting and conference space.
Wild Wild West Gambling Hall venue is closing for good. Red Rock Resorts Incorporated is responsible for the 796-room Redrock Casino Resort and Spa property. The company paid $172 million earlier this year to acquire 128 acres of undeveloped land south of the Las Vegas Strip and 67 acres in North Las Las Vegas.
Steven Cootey is the Chief Financial Officer for Red Rock Resorts Incorporated. His company is conducting due diligence on a site adjacent to 57 acres the operator already owns.
Wild Wild West Gambling Hall is closing permanently from midnight. All of its employees will be offered jobs at some of the operator's other local properties. The venue was purchased by its current owner in 1998.
