Arkansas Restaurant Employee Killed After Winning at Casino
An employee at La Huerta restaurant in Arkansas was shot dead after he won a prize at a casino. The victim was found in the kitchen. Police are looking for a black or grey pickup.
Fidel Mercado Reyes, 40, was shot in the back of the head in La Huerta restaurant in Gentry, Oklahoma. Martin Eduardo Tavarez Torres, 21, a new cook, is suspected of committing the crime. He fled in a dark grey 2004 Chevrolet pickup. The BOLO (Be On the Look Out) bulletin was issued. Torres' sister-in-law helped police find him. He parked in vicinity of her home and wanted to get rid of his car. His brother lives in Fayetteville, AK. It's 45 minutes away from LaHuertA.

He was helping the suspect, Torres, settle in Arkansas. Torres has a history of driving under the influence and reckless driving. A GoFundMe has been set to cover the expenses for the funeral. The suspect is accused of aggravated assault, first-degree battery and attempted capital murder/capital murder. His bond amount hasn't been established. Fort Smith said that the brothers of the victim described him as a really good individual.
